Starting from January 1, 2012, the Russian Federation has changed the procedure of passing the vehicle inspection (Federal Law of 01.07.2011 №170). Under the new legislation, vehicle owners can carry out the procedure of inspection in only accredited operators inspection points. Currently the bind for passing the inspection at the place of registration of the vehicle is cancelled, that means a car owner can pass a preliminary treatment in any region of the Russian Federation.
